Utorrent error the file is in use by another process

I already upgraded to the newest version of uTorrent and am still getting this error. Any ideas? It may be qurantineed or somehow blocked by your anti-virus.

If not either disable Indexing for the location you are downloading too or physically move the download location in Explorer and then right click the torrent and go Advanced and select the new download location. I strongly suggest using something like Process Explorer to check what -really- is locking the files. Removing that folder from library solves the problem. Even if knowing that it is caused by some XYZ.

Stopping will disable some os function. Another way will be locking the file by disabling share flag in CreateFile , but that will hamper the general usability , i. So not recommended. Why did you put the hijackthis log on zshare instead of posting it directly in the forum post like our guide says to?

There never will be a uTorrent "fix" because it is the other process that has "locked" the file that needs "fixing" If you append.! Posted November 16, Come again? I already found a solution for it.

FYI it is something have to do with changing something on the advanced tab in utorrrent.
