Hopefully, you know this, but you do this with your resource editor. Just add spaces to the end of some line with notepad to do this, and then re-check with the file's properties.

Regarding what stuff should actually be in your manifest file, that's also a bit tricky. I'm not that familiar with manifest caching, but I've really never had the problems that Dilettante is bringing up.

For me, they either work or they don't, although I do always embed. Here's a manifest for using the TabCtl It's named "Dependencies". To accomplish this, the above two lines And, as such, you can add extra white-space and it won't hurt a thing. You'll see that I've done that on the above files, just for ease of reading.
