Academic Upgrading is available to individuals: who don't have a secondary school diploma whose high school grades are too low for college or apprenticeship programs who completed secondary school some time ago and need to refresh their skills who need to prepare to write the GED test Program highlights: Learn in an adult atmosphere Flexible schedule lets you learn at your own pace and around your busy life Study during the day, evening or online through Distance Learning Free Subsidies may be available to eligible students for transportation and childcare Admission requirements 19 years of age or older Resident of Ontario Provide documentation of completed Canadian Benchmark level CLB 7 or higher if English is not your first language Academic Upgrading course availability Self-directed study: flexible schedule, receive in-class instructor support and start at any time.

Students are required to successfully pass all courses by meeting the specified minimum requirements in order to continue with the program. Conestoga grants students the opportunity to raise this grade to the minimum passing grade under specific circumstances.

Conestoga College student e-mail accounts are used to communicate with students. Students are expected to regularly check their student e-mail accounts, as well as their OntarioLearn course e-mail accounts. Faculty will not respond to e-mails from non-Conestoga e-mail addresses unless they are within the OntarioLearn course. There are a number of different opportunities available to students who want to continue studying at Conestoga. Copying and plagiarism of assignments will be dealt with in accordance with College Policy regarding Academic Offences Policy. Attendance for exams and tests is mandatory. Requests for an extension will be considered for extenuating circumstances and supporting documentation may be required. Students are eligible to graduate upon completion of all academic requirements in their program of study.

Students actively registered in programs, who take longer than the designed program length of time to complete their studies, are accountable for completing any new or additional courses resulting from changes in the program of study. Unless otherwise stated, students must complete the program of study within three 3 years of being admitted to the program.

This will direct students to policies and procedures relevant to their academic responsibilities. Students must follow all of the policies and procedures for Conestoga College and it is expected that faculty will accept, fulfil and enforce these standards.

The purpose of diploma General Education electives and Interdisciplinary electives is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge to succeed not just in their chosen career fields, but in all life paths. Students who do not wish to submit their information to other countries have the right to opt-out.

It is the responsibility of the student to notify the instructor if they, in the first week of term or at the time assignment details are provided, wish to submit an alternate assignment.

Course examinations may be administered through a remote proctoring service to assure academic integrity. Ensure that you meet the system requirements that will allow the recording of your computer screen, webcam, and microphone. Your success matters! As an emerging professional, it is important that you demonstrate the same professional attitude to your program that you will be required to demonstrate to your future workplace.
